Dr. Grace Bediako

Dr Bediako is an expert statistician/demographer, and Chairman of the Governing Board of Ghana Statistical Services. Prior to that, she was the Director General of the Ghana Statistical Services, where she led special initiatives to increase funding for data production, analysis, human resources development and modernization of statistical processes.

She was the chairman of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal’s (SDG’s) implementation and coordination committee and acting Director General of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) of Ghana.

She also served on boards of international multilateral development agencies including the UNESCO Institute of Statistics (UIS), and the Statistics Advisory Committee of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.

Dr. Bediako earned obtained doctorate degree in Demography at the University of Pennsylvania and pursued postgraduate studies in Survey Sampling at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
